The A/SRH-C1 is the latest pioneering technology from renowned gun manufacturer Dalton/Stanley. It enables the user to alternate between 'Assault' and 'Sniper' modes depending on their environment and requirements. Primarily the weapon acts as a lightweight close-range Assault Rifle, but is able to automatically and conveniently convert into a medium-long range Sniper Rifle with computer-guidance laser triangulation capabilities. An on-board system allows the user to pin-point and lock-on to a designated target, where upon the built-in computer measures air particles passing through three invisible beams projected from the front of the weapon. The computer uses this information to calculate wind direction and velocity, resulting in it being able to provide the user with a more accurate alternative target for the shot, presented on the scope's viewfinder.
GRAVITY
Concept Designer and 3D VIsualiser on Alfonso Cuarón's sci-fi movie 'Gravity', starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. I worked on designing a variety of key props and sets, including the Hubble Telescope extension, elements of the Soyuz and Shenzhou interiors, Jetpack Prototype, and many others. Making a movie is of course a collaborative effort, and credits also include Dan May, Ivan Weightman, Rhys Pugh, Paul Threadgold and the other talented artists in the Gravity art department and at Framestore.
Designed as a spiritual successor to the classic AC/Shelby Cobra. Being a great fan of the sixties icon, I wanted to produce a modern-day take on the legendary muscle-car that would capture it's true essence. The original car's flowing lines, combined with the bulging muscular forms, have sealed its mark in the hearts of many; it is truly unmistakable. My design received wide critical acclaim, and was showcased in a number of magazine articles.
With the introduction of the new C.R.A.B. robotic sentry system, policing has been revolutionised for the 21st Century. The advanced robotics technology behind the C.R.A.B.'s artificial intelligence has been secretly developed over the past 12 years as a joint venture between weapons manufacturer Dalton/Stanley and mega-corporation Omni-Corp. The results of their historical collaboration has been to produce the most advanced robotic defence system ever constructed, featuring next-generation weaponry and armour protection. The C.R.A.B. is set to pave the way for all future Police and Military automaton technology, and will be found on patrol in the public domain very soon.
In the summer of 2008, London Mayor Boris Johnson launched a worldwide competition, open to both design agencies, companies, and individuals, to design a replacement for the classic Routemaster bus. The competition closed in September 2008, and the winners were invited to an awards ceremony in London's Westminster on 19th December 2008. I was awarded as a joint second place winner, behind first place Aston Martin/Foster+Partners. The finished 'New Routemaster' was launched in the Spring of 2012, and can now be seen on the streets of London.
SENTRYBOT
Eliminate your home security worries with the all-new Sentrybot defence system from Omni-Corp. Developed exclusively by Security Concepts, the Sentrybot entirely removes the need for alarms, CCTV or even Police intervention. Armed with a revolutionary (patented) Solid-Plasma compact weapon, intruders will be quickly and easily incapacitated by the Sentrybot's 'Intruder Recognition' tracking system, leaving minimal clean-up required afterwards. Its A.I. protection will keep you and your home safe from unwanted attacks, day & night. We feel, as we are sure will you, that your loved ones deserve to be protected only by the best. OCP's Sentrybot is that all-in-one solution.
ACE
Designed as a robotic mascot and 'face' for automotive company 'ACtronics'. ACE is your likeable 'car doctor', able to fix any of your automotive needs with his in-built (rear mounted) toolbox and multi-purpose interchangeable hands. The client requested ACE feature the spherical 'ID4Motion' logo I had previously designed for them as his eyes, and that he had to immediately come across to their customers as "friendly". I decided to include wheels instead of legs for ACE, to emphasise the automotive link between him and his new owners.
SHC
Borne from the premise of mating a supercar with a 3-door hatchback, I designed the SHC as an experiment into a possible next generation of family car.
